We have to beware of the emotionless aspect that accompanies the so-called new age approach to life.
I am not saying that anger is necessarily good but it is disheartening to see how emotionless people have become.
There is an excellent essay by Rabbi Steinsaltz on the subject of sophisticaion where he warns that people have lost the capacity to feel strongly about anything.
